An incredibly sweet “Yellow Honey” from a farm that’s setting a standard for sustainability in the region. An inviting, sweet smell entices you to the first sip of this delicious, creamy cup with prominent notes of vanilla and honey with a slight hint of fruitiness and a very clean, sweet finish.

Why love it?
This high-grown coffee (farmed at 4600 ft a.s.l.) comes from Byron’s farm within the Cerro Arenal Reserve, situated between the Jinotega and Matagalpa departments, under rows of towering, shade-giving pine trees (the farm’s name literally means “The Pine Trees”). Byron has been using bio-dynamic agricultural techniques for over two decades, and believes everything in his farm has a purpose and benefits both coffee production and the ecosystem - from the variety of plants grown to feed the 14 cows on the farm, to the bees and other insects that pollinate the coffee trees, he has deep respect and believes deeply in living in harmony with the environment. We couldn’t be happier to support efforts to preserve the Cerro Arenal Reserve, home to the oldest known oak trees in Central America, and also one of the few remaining habitats for the endangered Quetzal and for many other exotic birds.
