X Series | RED HONEY | Honduras

from 16.00

Incredibly fruit-forward and full-bodied, this Red Bourbon, pulped natural microlot by Ms. Martha Hawit is truly unique - only 500 kg are produced every year - and is part of our “X Series" - a collection of rare, unique, high-scoring, Direct-Trade (at prices to the farmer that exceed Fair-Trade premiums by at least 300%), sustainably-grown coffees demanding top premiums.

Expect strong fruit-forward notes with deep floral aromas and a pleasantly lingering honey aftertaste. A subtle, well-rounded, tartaric acidity and a thick, velvety body perfectly complement the intense red fruit undertones that define this cup.

Why love it?
Perhaps our most unique offering, this is an exceptional Pulped Natural coffee - a special coffee preparation that involves carefully fermenting the coffee pulp during the drying process. This labor-intensive, hard-to-master process yields a much more complex, fruitier, and richer cup than the more traditional "washed" process. This coffee is also special because it supports an outstanding farmer - Ms. Martha Hawit - and directly rewards all of her efforts producing this exceptional coffee!

Recommendations
Shines in pour-overs, particularly in light to medium roasts. Medium roasts are a great fit for French Press, and also a great choice if you enjoy fruit-forward Espressos!
