RED HONEY | Honduras

from 10.75

Incredibly fruit-forward and full-bodied, this pulped natural microlot by Ms. Martha Hawit is truly unique - only 500 kg are produced every year.

Expect strong fruit and honey notes (the inspiration for its name!) with deep chocolate undertones and a pleasantly lingering sweet finish. A subtle, well-rounded, tartaric acidity and a thick, velvety body perfectly complement the intense red fruit and chocolate undertones that define this cup.

Why love it?
This is an exceptional Pulped Natural microlot (i.e. less than 500 kg available every year!). This special coffee preparation involves carefully fermenting the coffee pulp during a controlled drying process. This labor-intensive, hard-to-master process yields a much more complex, fruitier, and richer cup than the more traditional washed process. This coffee is also special because it supports an outstanding farmer - Ms. Martha Hawit - and directly rewards all of her efforts producing this exceptional coffee!

Recommendations
Shines in pour-overs, particularly in light to medium roasts. Medium roasts are a great fit for French Press, and also a great choice if you enjoy fruit-forward Espressos!
